Gary Schultz, President, Founder, MRG, Inc. is frequently quoted by the national press, including Investor's Business Daily, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, TV Technology, Information Week, and EE Times. He is a regular speaker at international events and Webinars sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters, IBC, ABC/Telecon, IPTV World Forum, and Stanford University.
His career spans successful senior marketing and management positions in computer and video systems manufacturing, online services, technology management and publishing. He founded MRG, Inc., in 1990.
He has a BA and MA in English and a PhD Candidacy in Communications from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). He also holds Professional Certificates in Technology Administration, Film/TV Production, and Financial Management from Columbia University, NYU, and Stanford University; and has completed graduate level coursework in Marketing and Finance at Golden Gate University.
Jose Alvear, Senior IPTV Analyst, specializes in digital media research and analysis including IPTV, streaming media and digital video recorders. Since the early days of the Internet, he has been at the forefront of the high-tech industry working as an editor, freelance writer, news reporter, researcher, and book author. In 1998, Alvear wrote the first technical book on streaming called "Guide to Streaming Multimedia" and co-authored many others. He is an expert in many digital technologies such as online music, Internet video and interactive TV and maintains multiple blogs about these topics. He has a BA in English from Brooklyn College.
Tanuja Chati, Digital Video Analyst, has varied experiences in the fields of finance and marketing research. She started her career with Smith Barney, Citigroup as Intern Equity Research Assistant. Then went on to work in different areas of marketing, research and analysis in different industries including computer software, networking, semiconductors. She previously worked as a consultant at Cisco, Spansion (AMD) and Microsoft. At Microsoft she worked as a Marketing Analyst in the IPTV division with the Director of Product Management to build a value proposition model for customers. Tanuja has a Masters in Commerce and MBA from Mumbai University, Mumbai, India.
Ken Pyle, is an analyst with MRG, Inc., is co-founder of Viodi, LLC and is Managing Editor of the Viodi View and Producer for ViodiTV, an online newsletter with a focus on independent Telcos and their efforts to offer video services. He has published reports on topics such multiscreen video services, network PVRs and the business case for independent Telco video services.
Additionally, he created digital rights management reports that were approved by studios for several clients. He created processes for clients to use for their PPV and VOD operations, as well as provided general consulting on the topic of local content production.
Pyle was Director of Broadband Relations for ZillionTV, an online VOD Provider, where he developed the distribution strategy and implemented the tactics for launching ZillionTV with Communications Service Providers. Pyle was Director of Technical Sales for Demand Video, a video-on-demand application Service Provider which targeted Cable television overbuilders. His independent Telco experience dates to 1991 with product, project and sales management roles at Raynet and E/O Networks. His experience in the Cable industry includes manufacturing, engineering and field service roles at companies such as Catel and C-Cor.

Kiran Bellare, Senior Analyst, has worked with media delivery and data communication systems since 1996. Most recently he was Sr. Director at Phoenix Technologies, working on strategy and business development for media platforms and entertainment devices for the digital home, including for IPTV set-top boxes and portable media and gaming devices. Prior to that he was Director at Openwave Systems for mobile device management products and services for GSM, CDMA and 3G wireless networks. He also has worked at Sprint on the CLEC and PCS (wireless) strategy; and as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company, producing product and market strategies for Fortune 100 service providers and OEMs.
Kiran has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business; an MS in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara; and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
Neal Chandra, Senior Analyst and Strategy Planner, is well known in the electronics industry as a CEO and business turnaround specialist. His career spans senior marketing, international management and CEO positions in the computer and semiconductor industries for TI, Fairchild, Bamta, PCMCA, Poqet Computer and General Electric. He holds MSEE and BSEE degrees from the University of Connecticut and the University of New Haven, respectively; and speaks four languages.
Elaine Mansfield, Analyst, has over 20 years experience in biotechnology product development and diagnostics with a specialty in genomics. Mike Galli, Analyst, has over 20 years experience in the video industry. He has worked in engineering, marketing and sales positions at The Grass Valley Group, VXtreme (acquired by Microsoft), DIVA, Minerva and Kasenna (acquired by Espial). Mike has a BSEE degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
Dennis Leitterman, Senior Analyst and Consultant, has a proven track record in business development, product marketing, software licensing, project management, and engineering consulting. John B. Jackson

at MRG. He brings over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and operations from various industries. Jackson's career began in high technology sales in the semiconductor industry at Signetics Inc., but he soon moved to high technology market research with Dataquest Incorporated. At Dataquest, he served as Vice President for nearly ten years and held a variety of roles in sales, marketing and research. Later, he joined Bowne and Company, the world's largest financial printer, and served as Senior Vice President responsible for sales, marketing, and operations. Jackson also was Sales Director at Forrester Research Incorporated, an IT advisory firm. Jackson is an Adjunct Professor in "Entrepreneurial Marketing" at California State University, Fullerton. He has BA degree from CSUF and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Huw Price-Stephens, IPTV Analyst, has been an active pioneer and evangelist in IPTV for over 15 years. Today he draws on this experience as an independent consultant in the IPTV and InternetTV arenas, advising clients regarding trends, strategy, technology and solutions. He is also the Ambassador for the Open IPTV Forum, a rapidly expanding consortium of over 60 vendors and operators committed to simplifying and standardizing end-to-end IPTV solutions.
