AT&T Plans to Invest US$1 Billion in 2010

AT&T said it plans to invest about US$1 billion in 2010 to help businesses use applications like mobility and cloud services. AT&T’s plan includes enterprise applications, small business services, and expanding its own IP network globally.

Vodafone Germany Plans to Launch Its Own IPTV Service

Vodafone Germany (formerly known as Arcor) said it is planning to launch sometime in mid-2011 its own IPTV service and is currently in trials. Vodafone Germany acquired fixed-line subsidiary Arcor in 2008 and essentially stopped all IPTV services under the Arcor name. Additionally, Vodafone Germany said it reached an agreement with German IPTV applications developer Artec Technologies after it filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Arcor. The company said that all pending litigation has now been dismissed.
