Executive Summary
This report summarizes the findings of a research project performed during the fourth quarter of 2007,
to determine the Test, Measurement and Monitoring requirements of Telco IPTV Service Operators.
1.1 Scope of Project
The scope of the project was as follows:
-
The objective was to obtain surveys from 8-10 incumbent, large or established Telcos from North America that operate IPTV services. This goal was exceeded with 12; the respondents are listed in Appendix 1. (Company and personal names and contact information are excluded, due to the promises on anonymity provided to participants.)
-
The primary deliverable was a spreadsheet, containing the results of the survey questionnaire, supported by summary charts and a written discussion of the findings included in the report. This document summarizes the project, presents highlights from the survey results, supplemented by relevant charts and tables.
